Call of Cthulhu RPG: H.P. Lovecraft's Arkham (1920s)
Arkham is a small town along the Massachusetts coast-the setting favored by author Howard Phillips Lovecraft in his tales of monstrous horror. All in all a quiet place, Arkham is best-known as the home of Miskatonic University, an excellent school becoming known for its esoteric and disturbing volumes residing in its library's Restricted Collection. These tomes form the foundation of all current efforts to thwart the dire desires of the Mythos legion.
H.P. Lovecraft's Arkham begins with the famous story "The Dreams in the Witch-house" written by Lovecraft and from there it expands on the story providing detailed information on the town, important people and locations, and its surroundings. There is also a 15 x 20 inch Arkham map showing the town and a 4-Page 10 1/2 x 16 inch Arkham Advertiser (newspaper). Four scenarios are included so investigators can get right into the action and many more are possible using the information in the book. Finally, this is a Dual System book so it includes statistics for the original version of Cthulhu throughout the text and a section of D20 statistics for use with Call of Cthulhu D20. This book is part of the Lovecraft Country setting for Call of Cthulhu.
H.P. Lovecraft's Arkham is suitable for beginning or experienced keepers and investigators. There are numerous black and white illustrations, the already mentioned 15 x 20 inch map and newspaper, and over twenty detailed handouts included.
H.P. Lovecraft's Arkham is a thick 248 page soft cover perfect bound book with black and white illustrations.
