MacArthur's Return: Leyte 1944

MacArthur's Return recreates in four scenarios and a campaign game the 1944-45 operations fought on the island of Leyte. Included are Japanese parachute drops, additional American and Japanese amphibious landings, variable reinforcements and amphibious tanks. MacArthur's Return uses an impulse system that accurately reflects each army's abilities and limitations while retaining the uncertainty inherent in combat. The Japanese player must preserve his supply ports to effectively supply and maneuver his army while the American player must force the Japanese player from as much of the island as possible before significant reinforcements arrive.
