Punct
PUNCT is a connection game: the goal is to link two opposite sites. On your turn, you either bring a new piece into play or you move a piece that is already on the board. The more pieces you bring into play the more possibilities to have to complete a connection. But… each time you put a new piece on the board, you reveal a bit of what your plan is. The trick is to place your pieces in such a way that your opponent will expect you to do something different from what you really have in mind. As such, PUNCT is not only about making a connection, but also about misleading your opponent! Enjoy it!
PUNCT is the final game of Project GIPF, a series that consists of 6 games and a number of additional pieces, called ‘potentials’. Each game in this project is playable separately, but also in combination with GIPF. It all comes together with a system that makes winning or losing a GIPF-related game a strategic factor of the game GIPF itself. The purpose is to offer you a wide variety of possibilities, so that you will be able to decide for yourself which version of GIPF you would like to play at any given moment. (from the back of the box)
Punct comes with 19 white pieces, 19 black pieces, 1 gameboard, and 1 rulebook. Punct is a game for 2 players, ages 10 and up. It plays in an average of 20 to 40 minutes.
